RELIGIOUS FESTIVALS NUMBA 3.
THE Chiang Mai Flower Festival This festival takes place for three days from the first day of february. This festival is held to promote the growing of flowers and decorative plants in Chiang Mai, featuring a parade of colourful floats with flowers petalled on it, there is graceful northern dances and music, beauty contests and display of rare and precious plants.
THE Lion Dance Festival This Festival occurs on the 2nd & 4th days after the Chinese New Year Colourful lions and dragons dances are staged by the Chinese community in Nakhon Sawan City and in Chinatown, Bangkok
The Songkran Festival ovvurs on the 13th of aprail to the 15th of april. The traditional Thai New Year is joyfully celebrated throughout the country with rituals of merit making, cleaning houses, honouring elders, parades of dancers and music troupes, and boat races.
The National Labour Day occurs on the first of May .The goverment of thailand sort it out and it includes pop concerts,culturual shows,dances and heaps of fun activties .
The Candle Festival is usually held on the Khao Pansa Day , People in many in the Northeast celebrate Khao Phansa Day by arranging processions of folk dances and floats , carrying huge, carved candles to be lit continuously throughout the Celebration
the Queen's Birthday occurs on the 12th of August.To celebrate the Queen's birthday and the Mother's Day, a grand celebration is held at Sanam Luang in front of the Grand Palace. There are free concerts and performances given by many popular Thai artists and a variety of entertainment. Other main roads are decorated with thousands of colourful lights, flags and portraits of the Queen.
